Handmade Love

I've been blessed to have FOUR baby showers this Spring.  It was overwhelming in the most lovely way-- this little boy has a huge cast of people waiting to welcome him.  I'll be posting about his nursery soon (where many of the generous gifts we received currently reside).

Another great thing about all of the loved ones in our lives is the culture of CREATIVITY they bring... below are some "moments" of creative expression from the lovely ladies in my life who threw us baby showers in January, February, and March.

Delish Diaper Cake (LP & MP)
Christmas tree w/ baby adornments (LP & MP)
Baby boy onesie cupcakes (LP & MP)
Mason jars for drinks and handmade pennant stirrers
w/ guest names on the little flags (TD & SD)
"The Festival of Cravings!" All the stuff I craved- mini cheeseburgers, veggies, Golden Grahams, almond joys,  etc.  (TD & SD)
Onesie garland- one in a different color and number for each month--
to chart his growth his first year  (TD & SD)
Handmade pinwheel art in mustard, light gray, steel gray,
and cream book page paper (AS)
My two favorite cakes on the same plate! Lemon and carrot.
Equally good and equally pretty  (EK, EA, LJ)
Made-from-scratch lemon cake
with yellow mum embellishments (EK, EA, LJ)
Everyone who loves me knows of my obsession with tulips--
do I talk about them that much?  (EK, EA, LJ)
I'll probably add more images later-- reminiscing about the beauty that my friends and family created to welcome this little baby can only help me to feel centered and honored as we go into the final days of this pregnancy.

May you have eyes to see the beauty. --Meg Tess
